Redwood Shores is an aesthetically pleasing waterfront community tucked
away on the western border of Redwood City along the San Francisco Bay.
This beautiful enclave is conveniently positioned near Highway 101, half way
between San Francisco and San Jose, just a short trip to the bordering towns
of Belmont, San Carlos and Foster City.
Redwood Shores is built on landfill along the marshes of the Bay and is home
to plenty of native wildlife including ducks, geese, egrets, herons, stingrays,
jellyfish and many other species. Once the location of Marine World, the area
has been transformed into contemporary homes and townhomes,
condominiums, apartments, parks, preserved land and Silicon Valley business
parks and headquarters, including tech giant Oracle Corporation. Many of the
houses and condominiums are surrounded by lagoons with access to inner
waterways through private boating docks. This beautiful destination provides
the unique setting for several collegiate rowing races, including competitions
among Pac-12 Conference universities. It is also the home of the Redwood
Shores Bay Club (otherwise known as the Pacific Athletic Club or PAC), a
private sports club with a gym, tennis and squash courts, pools and clubhouse
